About Lorna

Lorna is a primary school teacher whose love of fitness first drew her into the realm of personal training for women. As the ladies attending her circuit training classes began their families, many of them wished to continue their fitness journeys with Lorna through pregnancy and postpartum.

This peaked Lornas interest as there seemed to be a huge lack of fitness classes run by Trainers who had the experience and education to guide women through pregancy and postnatal fitness in a safe and structured way.

It also became clear that education provided to pregnant women and new mums is very lacking in Ireland as attending a women’s health Physiotherapist is not “the norm” in Ireland as it is in many other countries.

This can lead to women resuming fitness regimes that may be unsuitable too early postpartum and are not aware of how to support complications such as diastasis recti, abdominal weakness and instability, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and umbilical hernias.

Pregnancy has it’s own fitness implications and safety precautions which should be taken to reduce the risk of injury.

The more Lorna began to educate herself on safe pre and postnatal exercise and the physical issues that accompany prenancy and postpartum, the more Lorna wanted to formalise her education in the field.

Lorna became a Certified Pre and Postnatal Coach in 2018 and since then has completed several training courses in the field. Since then Lorna has been providing pregnancy and postnatal fitness classes in small groups as well as personal 1:1 sessions in her North County Dublin studio and her Client testimonials speak volumes about the quality of her classes.

Lorna regularly collaborates with Physiotherapists and other experts who specialise in women’s health, safe fitness and rehabilitation for pre and postpartum women.

Through her social media channels Lorna holds regaular Q & A’s, gives tips and advice, demonstrates safe variations of exercises and has regular “take overs” from experts in the field.

Lorna is committed to the health and well-being of all of her Clients. She goes above and beyond to ensure they travel through their fitness journey in a safe way that delivers results. This brings peace of mind to everyone who attends Lorna’s classes knowing that they can fulfil their fitness goals without risking their health.
